07/03/24 is an eight minute long moving image work. It centres on a communal room which was once a chapel within a hospital and is now part of a housing complex. I am considering the dynamics between the organ and swimming pool in the space. The togetherness of these two forms is coincidental and they are not ordinarily used at once. This work documents the space but also acts to unsettle it by responding to the room as though it has been built to facilitate an interaction between a swimmer/s and an organist. The sound and movement of the swimmer and organist attempt to reveal the space through investigating these connections which its form proposes.
